I have this issue that I can't fix for months now but today it has become very problematic.
I'm running Zabbix stack in containers and for some reason one day it can happen that items cannot be checked anymore by the Zabbix server so the agents appear as unreachable.
In the server logs, I have a lot of items with " 236:20211004:115755.587 Zabbix agent item "system.swap.size[,free]" on host "myhost" failed: first network error, wait for 15 seconds".
It happens to several hosts, no matter which one. The only way to "fix" this issue was to restart the Zabbix server container or like today when that didn't work, restart the instance that host the container.
There are no apparent network issues between server and host, the agent is correctly listening on ports.
I just can't figure out what's happening.
I had to increase the server timeout but more 10sec didn't even fix it.
