    Zabbix 3.0 RC2 installation

    Hi.
I'm trying to install zabbix-server-pgsql on CentOS 7 from your repo, but apparently missing some essential piece. I can't find .sql files to create table structure.
Tried to install schemas extracted from src-rpm, but web-frontend complains about version mismatch:

The frontend does not match Zabbix database. Current database version (mandatory/optional): 2050119/2050119. Required mandatory version: 3000000. Contact your system administrator.

    Please advise.

      OK.. I solved the problem.

      Check this:

      1. Connect to database zabbix
      2. run: select * from dbversion;
If you have 205.... must change to 3000000:
      3. Use UPDATE...

        Great!
I'll try this as soon as I'll be near the system.

Although it looks like dirty hack to me.

Same thing in 3.0.0 LTS - but yeah changing those values in the DB resolves the problem.

Let Zabbix Server upgrade your database!

The message actually means that you are running old database, which should be upgraded by normal run of Zabbix Server, which will automatically execute all necessary patches.

Manually changing database version in the database is a direct way to disaster! Don't do it.

                  Hi,

same problem with Postgresql ... maybe somebody found a clear way to fix this or modify the structure script in order to comply the Zabbix frontend requirments?

If you use Zabbix 2.0 or later, that database will upgrade automatically when zabbix_server started.

After the upgrade process is completed, it will be available from the Web frontend.

Same scenario with a 3.0 upgrade

I just stumbled upon the same scenario where an upgrade to 3.0 does not start any migration when starting the Zabbix server process.

Using the official Debian 7 packages.
