Default Regular Expressions does not seem to work on fresh install

    Hi everybody,

I am in the process of merging two existing Zabbix installations into one. Therefore i have installed a fresh 6.0.6 using postgres14, php 8.1 and nginx on a Ubuntu 22.04 LXC container-host.

The thing is, the default regular expressions for things such as File system discovery, NIC discovery etc. does not seem to work properly. (None of the default seems to work, see attached screenshots). The result is that only '/' is discovered on a Linux/BSD host.

    - I cannot tell if this is a bug that should be reported or me missing some sort of dependency.

If anyone has any suggestions to why this is occurs, i am open for suggestions.

    Best Regards
    Anders

Downgrade to php7.4 is probably not the best solution. This issue exists with Zabbix versions 6.0.x and 6.2.x. There is a lot of noise online about deprecation in the "preg_match" and other preg_ functions. Will also check support.zabbix.com when it comes back onilne.
