    Zabbix server is not running

    Hi,

I just upgraded Zabbix from 2.4.6 to 3.0.0. But now I frequently get the message "zabbix server is not running the information may not be current".
For the rest everything is working. Data is comming in, alerts are raised/cleared, ...
Does anyone have an idea what the cause is?

Also I noticed that when I check netstat that the Recv-Q is always 129
Proto Recv-Q Send-Q Local Address Foreign Address State
    tcp 129 0 0.0.0.0:10051 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN

    try this:

    Code:
    setenforce 0
    or a safer way:

    Code:
    setsebool -P httpd_can_network_connect=true

      Thanks for the quick response.

When I run that command I get the following
      Code:
      setsebool: SELinux is disabled.

Yesterday I was testing a fresh install of 3.0 and I got the same message saying that the server isn't online. As your setup, everything worked fine except for the message saying the server is offline.

Anyway, after lot's of digging in Google I came across a post saying that SETSebool could be the reason why the Zabbix server says it's not running.

After I used "setenforce 0" almost immediatly the Zabbix Server turned into Green and said it was online.

So that's why I think your server is having some troubles with SETSebool.

SETSebool or setenforce don't work on my system because SELinux is disabled.
Also with Zabbix 2.4.6 I didn't have this issue (on the same system)

Again, for me the same scenario. With Zabbix 2.4.6 I had no problems getting the server up & running. On that same system I installed Zabbix 3.0.1 and as a result I got that 'server is not running message'.

In my case I was able to solve it to use the setenforce command. I'm not a Linux expert so I'm afraid I can't help you further.

To test I enabled SELinux and set it to permissive and it's been 2 days now without that message.
