Dashboard.php and lastissues.php taking too long to update

Hi,


We are using Zabbix 2.0.9 and setup details are as below :


Number of hosts (monitored/not monitored/templates) 2366 1873 / 77 / 416
Number of items (monitored/disabled/not supported) 202752 158993 / 22616 / 21143
Number of triggers (enabled/disabled)[problem/unknown/ok] 109708 102425 / 7283 [10656 / 0 / 91769]
Number of users (online) 199 9
Required server performance, new values per second 1248.28 -


Now days very frequently zabbix stops functioning and gives error "Zabbix server is not running. Information displayed may not be current."

Whenever we run mtop to check MySQL queries, all long queries related to dashboard.php and lastissues.php in pending state for more than few mins.

To avoid too much load on MySQL database, we have restricted access for couple of desktop for these two pages..it worked fine for few days but again the same issue started.

Our monitoring team need to access these dashboard to monitor business critical environments.

It will be great if someone guide me how to tackle this long query issue..
Is there anything need to be changed in Zabbix server configuration ?
Do I need to upgrade ? Please let me know if need any configuration details.


Please help as if our monitoring system doesn't work properly then we are on high risk..

Hi Guys,

We are still facing this issue. Please have a look on enclosed long query which keep coming and impacting performance.
How do you tackle this issue ?
