Proxy no longer delievers data after host move

    Hello,

we are running a middle sized environment with about 81 hosts and 150k Elements. We have 14 proxies running around the globe. In one location we have 4 proxies for load balancing reasons. Also we have an action that moves hosts from one proxy to another in case we lost one proxy. In Version 2.4 it works fine, but with 3.0 we have a big issue. When we move a host from proxy01 to proxy02. We got no information for this host and all other hosts on proxy01. This issue never recovers.

Today we've done some further tests and it recovers from this state (delivering no data) within 30 minutes. We changed the configuration sync from 60 seconds to 122 seconds while the collecting data frequency is still 60 seconds.

Now after moving several hosts between proxies 3 of 4 proxies stopp working completely. I still see getting values with ps -f -C zabbix_proxy. The configuration in the proxy-mysql is fine afaik. But when the server ask for data (request history data) the proxy just reports a timestamp nothing else.

Sometimes it helps restarting the proxy. But sometimes we need to restart the server to get it working again.

Until 2.4.7 all works pretty good - now I don't know further.

    I attach the pcap.

Hopefully someone has a hint how to troubleshoot this further. The logfiles of server and or proxy does not show any kind of errors.

    Kind Regards,
    Kay

Proxy no longer delievers data after host move

After 8 hours of troubleshooting I get the proxy working after deleting and recreating the mysql database on the proxy. Not sure what's happen with the mysql. No error in any log.

Now anybody seen this issue and know how to avoid the dead of the mysql?

    Kind Regards,
    Kay
