I'm running latest Zabbix server on an Ubuntu 14.04 host. Earlier before with Zabbix 2.4.x the automatic package updates always went fine. Now for the first 3.x update (3.0.0 -> 3.0.1) my "zabbix_server.conf" has been overwritten / moved to "zabbix_server.conf.dpkg-old" without further notice.
In this way the password for the MySQL DB got lost and consequently Zabbix server didn't work properly anymore, without any (obvious) further notice.
How can I ensure that the config file won't be overwritten in the future or at least get an obvious notification when this is going to happen?
