    Trouble Importing template : Unexpected tag

    Hi,

    I'm having trouble getting this template imported and I'm not sure what's wrong with it.

    community-templates/SCADA_IoT_Energy_Home_Automation_Industrial_monito ring/template_shelly_monitoring/6.0 at main · zabbix/community-templates (github.com)

    Zabbix version = 6.0.9​

    The error I get :

    Details Import failed
    • Invalid tag "/zabbix_export/groups": unexpected tag "group".
    I tried to edit it to work but still no luck. Is there anyone that would like to have a look at the template? Thanks :-)

      Looks strange:

      version: '6.0'
      date: '2021-10-06T11:12:17Z'​
      Zabbix 6.0.0 was released only in February 2022, so I wonder if that file has really been exported from a proper Zabbix server.

      Anyway, you can try comparing the file syntax against the official templates in https://git.zabbix.com/projects/ZBX/...Frelease%2F6.0, maybe that gives tou an idea what's wrong with it.

          I worked a few hours on it to remove double tags but I keep getting import errors. :-(
          Is there anyone with experience with this who can have a look at this? It's all new to me.

              As Markku pointed, does not seem to be proper export... I got rid of those "Invalid tag "/zabbix_export/groups": unexpected tag "group"." messages by removing all the lines with "group:"... but then it continues to have issues with templates (removed again some lines with "template:") and then items and then I just dropped it...
              There is a version 5.4 which is identical to this one.. just version number is changed.. even the export date is same... I guess you fire an issue there, maybe it gets fixed..

              That does not look like the one in this template...

                      I found the original owner and he has working templates on his github :-)
                      The templates are for zabbix 5.4 but I have them working flawlessly in Zabbix 6.0
