hostname has been restarted false positive alert from router

Hi All,

I am getting hostname has been restarted false positive alert from routers while the routers are up and running more than 1 and half year.

Kindly advice.

Maybe uptime counter has reached its limits and was reset?

Looks like Uptime counter of 32 bit which can count till 497 days only. After which it'll roll over to 0 and start counting from Zero th day.

There's an other issue where device resets uptime counter due to software bug. I encountered this with Sophos devices. You can check this by running snmpwalk.
