Can't start zabbix-server on Ubuntu 6.10

Hello,

I install Zabbix from binaries on Ubuntu 6.10, but when I try start the server I receive this error:

Cannot create PID file [/var/run/zabbix-server/zabbix-server.pid] [No such file or directory]

I create the directory: /var/run/zabbix-server, when I try start the server it don't show any error, but the server don't start and when I reset the server the dicretory is deleted.

Can any one help me?

chown zabbix /var/run/zabbix-server
chown zabbix /var/log/zabbix-server

I try change the owner but don't work too...
It doesn't show any massage, but the process don't start.

Any sugestion?

what about config file? log file? look there...
