I have just made a fresh install, having downloaded and installed Zabbix on Debian 11 (Bullseye), according to the recipe found on the Zabbix website:
    https://www.zabbix.com/download?zabb...debian&os_vers ion=11&components=server_frontend_agent&db=mysql&w s=apache

After following all the steps (twice!) I keep getting the same annoying error message:
The server does not match Zabbix database. Current database version (mandatory/optional): 06040000/06040026. Required mandatory version: 05000000.

    What am I missing here?
Answer is in your other thread... You clearly have installed wrong version of server in some reason... wrong repos defined or something... resolve it and you should get a working instance.

Just upgraded from 6.2.7 to 6.4.1 and had the same database version error. Had to make sure that log_bin_trust_function_creators was set to 1 (ON). This was in the notes, and I did this but because the script I used restarted mysql this got set back to default which is off. If you want this on permanently you would have to set it in the ini file for mysql. So moral of the story, make sure it's ON until the upgrade is fully finished
