New to Zabbix, and trying to install active agent on windows 7. I believe this is the right thing to do for an agent that will not be visible to the Zabbix server, ie behind NAT(?)
Nothing I do seems to get it to speak to the zabbix server. The firewall is open so that's not the issue.
- I've seen somewhere that 'DisableActive=0' is an option, but it doesn't like this on the Win7 config file
- I've tried adding a discovery rule in case this is what I need to do (the documentation isn't clear to me), but it requires a 'key' - I don't know what to put in here or how to reflect it on the agent?
- I've even tried the msi installer available from suiviperf, but this fails, simply telling me that something it was trying to do didn't work.
What am I doing wrong?
