Checks from stock templates end up with the "Host interface" set to "None"

I am having an issue where certain checks have "Host interface" set to "None" instead of defaulting to the only configured interface, the zabbix agent. The templates where I have seen it for sure are:

    Code:
    ICMP Ping
    SSH Service
Hovering over the red "!" icon reveals info like this:

    Code:
Ping item must have target or host interface specified
Check service item must have IP parameter or host interface specified.
Currently running 6.4.0-beta6 installed with official zabbix ubuntu packages. I have seen this with earlier 6.x releases, but I cannot say for sure when it started. I don't remember whether it has happened with any other templates. If I don't manually set the host interface, the item is not supported.

Seems any time I add a new host, these items don't set the host interface. I know that I didn't have to set this manually when I first set up the zabbix install. I do not remember what version I started with or when this started happening.

I'm seeing the same issue with my 6.4.0 release (from AlmaLinux / RedHat repo). My issue exists with the "net.tcp.service[http]" item key. Specifying a host interface does cause it to work.

The "Simple Checks" documentation state that "by default host IP/DNS is used" which would suggest that I shouldn't have to specify a host interface. Not having to do so would make things much easier for situations like mine where the check is templated to distribute across a large group of hosts.

I guess implementing this https://support.zabbix.com/browse/ZBXNEXT-6406 has backfired a bit... Cannot rely on defaults any more, as they are not there now...

After posting my comment I eventually came across this page - https://support.zabbix.com/browse/ZBX-22105 - that notes the issue will be fixed in 6.4.1.
