    Simple checks in Zabbix 3.0

I recently upgrading my system from 2.4 to 3.0. Everything went very smoothly, with the exception of one item I check using net.tcp.service.

I've attached a ss of my item template; it's very simple (no pun intended), worked flawlessly under 2.4, and hasn't been changed.

I verified I can connect to the various hosts/ports from the command line on the zabbix server. Both the firewall and SELinux are disabled. I also ran a constant tcpdump and saw that zabbix is making no connection attempts to the hosts/ports in question, yet looking at latest data on those items shows it returning 0(down) consistently. I made a brand new host using the template with the same result. No entries in zabbix_server.log either.

Any idea what is going on or where I can look next?

    Thanks,
    James

Please try change from {HOST.IP1} to {HOST.IP}.

Note that the numbered macro syntax of {MACRO<1-9>} is used to reference hosts in the order in which they appear in a trigger expression.

That works, thanks! Never realized I had it wrong. I guess 2.4 was more forgiving.
