Discovery rule value is too long - Allowed length is 512 characters

I am a new Zabbix user, and I've hit a strange limit:

Allowed length is 512 characters.

Why is there a 512-character limit on the discovery rule length?

Resolved this by running the following query on the DB:

ALTER TABLE items MODIFY COLUMN snmp_oid VARCHAR(1024);

and then:

nano ./include/schema.inc.php -> change from 512 to 1024 for snmp_oid
