How to stop the email notifications for the hosts that have been already deleted.

    Dear,

We are using zabbix 5.0 LTS.

We have deleted some hosts that no need to monitor anymore, but we are still receiving email notification for the problem created by these hosts.

The problem has been resolved long time before, but we still get the notification everyday for this.

    What I have tried.

    1. Disable the related trigger , - not working
    2. Recreate the host with the same name and IP , and then try to unlink and clear the template used for ICMP - still not working

Anybody can give some suggestion where should I look for this problem?

    Adjunta pantallazo del panel principal.

    Saludos!

I've never seen a problem live past it's host deletion. It's also unusual that it says "resolved".

Hosts (and everything else is Zabbix) is defined by a numeric "id", the name is just visual, so recreating a host will generate a different id and likely not help. Ideas:
      1. Can you go to the Problems screen and manually close these?
      2. Search Zabbix for this IP and name, you might have a duplicate host.
      3. Look in the Zabbix log for errors
      4. Query the problem table (use phpmyadmin, mysql query, your favorite tool) and see if this is a old or new problem (original problem ID I think)
      5. Check the Zabbix action log to verify Zabbix is sending new alert, compare to the mail header times.

I have checked on the problem screen , and there is not related problem for the host it is mentioned.
          no duplicated host as well.
The strange thing is , I can find the record in event table,

I can understand why there is no trigger or no problem for this device, because it is deleted from system already, so the related triggers and problems should have been deleted as well.

But the strange thing is that something is still creating event for this deleted problem , and that the place where the emails are keep sending to the mailbox, because the new event is created, the notification need to do the job to send email.
