Drives not showing up in items - new template being used

    Hi,
I am currently creating host templates for the Zabbix rollout we are doing. I have created (an initial) basic template based on the windows by Zabbix agent template. This template is a cut down version so as we can concentrate on exactly what we want to monitor. The issue I am having is with the Mounted filesystem discovery and Physical Disk Discovery discovery rules. The data I am getting back from the agent is correct - I can't seem to paste the data but I am getting drive name, Drive type (NTFS), and Drive Type returned when I run a test.

However, no drive items are appearing in the monitoring data for any hosts using this template.

An error is appearing in the info field under Discovery Rules as can be seen in the attached photo.

I have checked the regular expressions (see other attached pic) for the Discovery Rule but cannot see an issue. There is a regular expression under Administration I have created to ignore any DVD or Floppy drives if found.

Does anyone have any thoughts as to why the the Physical drives are not appearing under items for the hosts using this template. Unfortunately my SQL is not good enough to actually run a SELECT statement to see whether the drive letters are even stored in the database.

    Thanks in advance
    Cheers

Values for those macros? It says you have issues with regex, so show them....

Sorry, I meant to add these originally but had trouble saving the post - I assume this is what you meant, the details in the response

Responses from a test on the Mounted Filesystem discovery rule is as follows:
      [{"{#FSNAME}":"C:","{#FSTYPE}":"NTFS","{#FSLABEL }": "","{#FSDRIVETYPE}":"fixed"},{"{#FSNAME}":"D:" ,"{# FSTYPE}":"NTFS","{#FSLABEL}":"","{#FSDRIVETYPE}":" fixed"}]

      Cheers

These are ok, they come from a built in item.. I dont doubt their correctness....

I was more thinking of the values you have for those {$VFS.FS.NAME.MATCHES} etc macros...

Your filter compares LLD macro values with a user macro value and tells that "cannot evaluate expression... " That leads me to think, that there might be something in that usermacro value, that screws up ...

          Hi Cyber

I have solved the issue (I think) I can't answer your question due to me not yet fully understanding what's happening in regards the filters within the discovery rules. What I had done is just copied over what the filters were inside the Windows by Zabbix Agent template. After some digging around I have removed the filters in the discovery rules for one server to see what occurs and this seems to have dealt to the error and the drive letters are now showing in my items. I will leave it like that for a while and if I am happy with what's going on will remove them from the template.
In summary this all stems from my lack of knowledge and I appreciate the assist.

          Cheers
