Telegram Notifications despite outside of active hours and severity

    Hi,

I hope I am just not seeing something obvious here. I have successfully setup the Telegram notifications, they are working just fine. However for my user I set the active times as following:
    1-5,07:00-17:00

Also I set the severity only that High and Disaster should send out the notifications. However deleting the media from the user account, and changing it multiple times, still it is sending notifications at every time and I am nearly out of ideas why.

Thank you for looking into it!

    Many regards

      Hi,
Are you sure you have the correct time zone setting on the user and also the correct time on the server?

Check server time and time zone.

Also, Make sure host is not part others group which has no time window for trigger action.

          Good morning!

Thanks for the answers so far, I have the checked the users profile settings and the general settings in the frontend. Both are set to UTC+2. I checked also directly on the Linux server on which zabbix runs, there it was just UTC. I changed that as well to UTC+2.

About the idea of the host groups, where can I check if host groups have time windows? I thought that is set on the user level?

          Many regards

I think it was meant, that an action can also have a timeframe. But this does not matter, it only defines, when action is performed. If you have set a timeframe in user media config, then that should be respected anyway...

What version of Zabbix we are talking about here? Have you tried upgrading to latest and greatest patch (of your version) yet?

Zabbix Server version is 6.4.1. This should be a fairly recent version if I am not mistaken?

About the timeframe in the media config, I might have found something what seems to do the trick. The trigger actions were the default ones, sending everything anytime to the admin group. I changed it a little:

This should send mails all the time, but telegram only above a certain severity level. However still it does not seem to respect the timeframe from the media config.

You can always try to search, if someone has reported something similar https://support.zabbix.com/browse/ZBX or submit your own bug report...
I have no good ideas right now...
