Agent has problem with reporting free space on complex mountpoints

Hello,

I have a big problem.

When using something like vfs.fs.size[/var,free] everything is ok, but if trying to monitor filesystems mounted under second and further level dirs for instance vfs.fs.size[/var/log,free] agent is saying not supported

Of course there is no issue for df which has no problems with that.

Such dedicated filesystems are often very important and I think it is a very troublesome.

So i think this work's correctly

I'm using 1.1.3 of the agent.

Strange because I have the same situation on 2 different OS-es: debian and fedora.


For instance item (from one of my servers):
17221 wolne miejsce na /var vfs.fs.size[/var,free] 300 90 365 ZABBIX agent Active

works but:

17639 wolne miejsce na /var/lib/mysql vfs.fs.size['/var/lib/mysql',free ] 30 90 365 ZABBIX agent Not supported

doesn't.

Are you sure user zabbix has access to /var/lib/mysql ?

I think I am sure.

I can successfully su to zabbix user and see contents of this directory, display df

I tested this issue on AIX and the same story

17640 wolne miejsce na /usr/sys/inst.images vfs.fs.size[/usr/sys/inst.images,free ] 30 90 365 ZABBIX agent Not supported

vfs.fs.size['/var/lib/mysql',free ] <- get rid of the space in "free " to make it work!

Maybe this will teach me not so often to use input line history in browser because it is a seed for duplicating the same error
