    Exclude Link down notifications

    Dear All,

I have recently installed zabbix 6.4 and its working fine
I am monitoring cisco 9300 access switches and would like to exclude link down / change speed email notifications and they flood my inbox.
I did found information which states the user can redefine Context macro to value - 0 that marks ... No new trigger will be fired if this interface is down
But unable to find the place where i need to define this.

I am using the default cisco IOS by snmp template.

    Appreciate your kind help

    Regards

    simon

I think you refer to this ?

I think if you define a macro {$IFCONTROL:"{#IFNAME}} for the host, with a value 0 and replacing {#IFNAME} with the correct interface name, then it will work. As .. it will not fire that trigger.

But if you still want to see the trigger but ignore the email, then you probably need to work out something with tags and ignore it on action execution level...

Disable triggers... you can also modify discovery and set trigger prototypes to be "created disabled".
