    Email alert will not repeat

    Hello,

    We have a zabbix server with a host all set up and monitoring MySQL threads connected. I have a test trigger set up which I can see is active in the dashboard. The trigger is set with step duration of 60s (for testing) to send message to zabbix administrators via all media. The trigger action is enabled.

    In media types I have configured html email and tested which does work. On the Admin user I have the media for html selected and enabled. Ideally I would like to have this send an email every 5 minutes until resolved but it will only send when the problem is initially triggered. What do I need to do differently? Inside the operation I have tried setting the step to both 1-0 and 1-1.

    Steps n - 0 is the way to get repeated messages. So you're getting the first email, but none of the others? Check the Action Log, are the repeated messages there, there with error or not there?

      I think I got it going thanks. It was a little confusing with the steps n - 0 and the other "Default operation step duration". So now I have it with 1-0 and 3 minute duration. Still a little confused what the n in n - 0 does. I see that it refers to escalation but we really just use it for sending an email.
