Device agent+snmp interfaces relations?

Hi,

Since a few months we have some issues going on a Zabbix system. I already spent two weeks looking for a solution, but without any success. I am new to Zabbix, but I have some experience with SNMP, WMI and Zabbix alternatives.

For some reason when Zabbix automatically discovers new devices it connects relationships to other devices and adds them as agent/snmp interfaces. I have no idea why. (see attached screenshots)

I appreciate if somebody can give me a hint :-)

Hi Nielsvk,

1) Check what kind of Checks are used in Discovery rules.
You can see that in:

Configuration -> Discovery

2) And also check your Actions to see if there is enable auto registration.
You can see that in:

Configuration -> Actions

Thanks for your reply. The subnets are matching with the previous screenshots. So you think it has to do with the two check entries?

As I understand you want to know why after discovery zabbix register devices as agent and snmp interfaces right?
In screenshot I see that you are using SNMP discovery, that's for sure, but what kind of actions you have in your Configuration - Actions ? if there is something about discovery then show me a screenshot of conditions:

Configuration -> Actions -> Event source: discovery -> Your action -> Conditions

(in the right corner is a Event source drop down - choose Discovery)

Also you can see details in:

Monitoring - Events - drop down Source: Discovery
