Zabbix Proxy Template

Hi neiromc,

for better understanding, my setup:

zabbix server
proxy1
proxy2

I have checked the problem twice now and this is the result:

proxy1 is monitored by zabbix server
zabbix proxy template linked to proxy1
items reports error

proxy1 is monitored by proxy2
zabbix proxy template is linked to proxy1
items are working

For me this is clearly a bug.

Are the items working now? Because for my understanding this must be a bug.

sorry for resurrecting old thread but I was solving this issue and the proper solution is to configure the zabbix proxy host's agent to be monitored by the zabbix proxy:


and in the agent config:

root@ltc-ripper:~# grep ^ServerActive /etc/zabbix/zabbix_agentd.conf
ServerActive=127.0.0.1

this will solve the issue with "data sender" and "heartbeat sender" reporting "Invalid second parameter".

Solution is verified to work with zabbix 6.2
