    Email "sent" on Dashboard but apparently not.

    Hi all ,

    I've been trying to set a problem notification email on my zabbix server , but all is I get is mail sent on Dashboard , but nothing is really sent .
    posix works fine and there is no problem on email and nothing is on queue or sent .
    what still can cause this problem ?

      Maybe outside zabbix

      1. Check "Reports > Action Log" and search for the message that should have been sent.
      If the status is on sent there, that means that the Zabbix application has nothing to do with it anymore.

      Then you must troubleshoot outside of zabbix, e.g:
      Check mail logs:
      tail -f /var/log/maillog
      Send a test message from the command line:
      echo test | mail [email protected]

        Hi valuator ,

        seems zabbix and email were just fine , but somehow didn't work together .
        finally I've changed the SMTP server to 127.0.0.1 and it work just fine .
