    Problem with IPMI

    Hi
    I'm new in zabbix

I installed Zabbix 3.0 LTS via it's source on Oracle linux 6.7

    Code:
    ./configure --enable-server --with-oracle --with-oracle-include=/usr/include/oracle/11.2/client64 --with-oracle-lib=/usr/lib/oracle/11.2/client64/lib --with-net-snmp --with-libcurl --enable-agent --enable-proxy --with-ssh2 --with-unixodbc --with-ldap --with-libxml2 --with-openipmi --with-openssl --with-jabber --enable-java
    Uncomment it in zabbix_server.conf

    StartIPMIPollers=3

    Start zabbix-server
    Code:

      Hi!

Try to set "StartIPMIPollers=1" in zabbix_server.conf and see how it goes.

Did you check connectivity using ipmi client?

          So many thanks
i change "StartIPMIPollers=3" to "StartIPMIPollers=1" its works fine!!!
          why is it happen?
If i add more IMPI device to monitor in zabbix in future with "StartIPMIPollers=1" is it work fine again?

If you have 3 IPMI pollers, each of them is scanning/polling your IPMI devices on its own. Controllers in IPMI devices often cannot handle multiple parallel sessions, so you get unstable results - sometimes success, sometimes fail. Running only 1 IPMI poller solves this problem, but does not scale. It is a drawback in current IPMI poller architecture to be fixed.

confirmed- still a problem in 3.2

Running multiple IPMI pollers still cause network errors and wholes in graphs.

              # zabbix_server --version
              zabbix_server (Zabbix) 3.2.6

Luckily, I was just testing IPMI and not relying on it at this time.

switching to a single IPMI poller fixed the issue.

Curious as it looks like zabbix polls each IPMI sensor independently rather than polling all sensors in one pass then parsing it out.
