Notification sent again when a host is disabled

When I disable a host. I see a "NOTE" is entered to the existing problems in the host:
NOTE: Escalation canceled: host "HOST_NAME" disabled.

However I am using Slack media type and it seems to send the problem notification again without the "NOTE" part.

So it is hard to tell if this is an actual alert or not.

    * Why the "NOTE" is missing in the Slack alert? What variable it is stored under?
    * Why can't it update the existing alert? Normally it should update the existing message?

The slack integration default mode is: https://www.zabbix.com/integrations/slack
    • alarm (default)
      • Update messages will be attached as replies to Slack message thread
      • Recovery message from Zabbix will update initial message

Did you ever figure this out? I'm having this same problem with notifications regarding disabled hosts along with that same message
NOTE: Escalation canceled: host "HOST_NAME" disabled.
I just upgraded zabbix-server to 7.2 from 6.4 and in the process migrated my DB to the host with the new 7.2 server. I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it but this wasn't happening on our other 6.4 server.

I ended up just deleting those hosts that were previously disabled. I was able to delete those particular hosts because they are new and not in production yet. This could be a real problem though when we need to decom hosts that have been monitored for months+ since we won't be able to delete them due to a company policy but want to instead disable them.
