Zabbix Server disk utilization increased to 99% CPU IOWAIT time increased to 40%-50%?

We have an issue with high CPU and disk usage on Zabbix Server version 6.4, MariaDB Server version: 10.8.8 - (Disk utilization increased to 99% cand CPU IOWAIT time increased to 40%-50% constantly). We also have 2 x proxy servers on the same version, that we outsource most of our monitoring to It's a brand new installation, with only imported configuration files through the web front-end, so no DB imports or conversions. Everything was working absolutely fine, then suddenly one morning - after one of our VEEAM backups, everything started to run slowly (slow query log warnings) and the CPU IOWAIT time increased from the teens, up to between 38% and 50% - constantly. Disk write usage is at 99%, like something is constantly trying to write to the disk? Can anyone assist? Or has anyone else experienced this?

Just adding to this - the higher CPU IOWAIT stats, definitely seem to be a direct result of the increased disk write usage stats. Both proxy servers are running fine and they are doing the majority of the monitoring. It's just the Zabbix main server that has these disk write issues? Just wondering if anyone else has seen the same thing?

In case it helps anyone else - we resolved this by increasing the MySQL innodb_buffer_pool_size. This needs to be set based on how much RAM you have in your server.
