Template Windows by zabbix agent - monitor only needed services

    Hello,

I have Zabbix server 6.4 and I'm using Zabbix agent 6.4 in passive mode on varius Windows hosts. I'm using the template Windows by zabbix agent.
Zabbix server reported some "problems", different windows services are stopped, but startup type is automatic. That's normal. I managed to close these problems manually and added in the macro exceptions to skip these services from monitoring.
Now about the problem. Every time I apply this template to a NEW windows host, there is always new "problems" created about multiple services startup is automatic but stopped. That's because the service name is unique from host to host and it's not found in the exception list. For example, cbdhsvc_5e743, cbdhsvc_4ce64. My list of exceptions is huge, just because All unneeded services and all these dynamic service names. I realised that I lose my time. The aproach is wrong.
I would like to monitor only needed known windows services, and skip all others. Somebody knows how to do that?

You can replace that list with regex... cbdhsvc_5e743, cbdhsvc_4ce64 -> cbdhsvc_.*
And as there is macro for ignoring certain services, there is also a macro for including only needed ones, which by default is "^.*$" ie.. include everything.

You can use regex to filter the service. Like "cbdhsvc_.+". It will reduce the filter entry in template.

        Customize the {$SERVICE.NAME.MATCHES} macro

To apply to everyone, change the template --> macros.
for a specific host, change in Host --> macros
