    Restart e-mail message

    Hi Guys,

    I have the following situation:

My Windows machine restarts but zabbix doesnt sent me een email.

I have configured it as following:

    Trigger:

Name: {HOSTNAME} has just been restarted
    Expression: {Windows_t:system.uptime.last(0)}<5
    Severity: High

    Action:

    Action Type: Send Message
    Source: Trigger
    Conditions (2):
    ---- Host = "Lokaal_Robbert_Windows_bak"
    ---- Trigger severity = "High"

The user is configured correctly, because zabbix is able to sent message when host status is unreachable to that user.

Anybody knows what i do wrong?

    I think it should be:
    {Windows_t:system.uptime.last(0)}<300

Hey Cool, it works.. why 300 and not 5?

Is it because if windows is up between 300 seconds it wil have the status of a reboot?

Maybe you could decrease to 60sec.

But I guess when Zabbix Agent (as a Windows Service) is eventually started by Windows, uptime is already > 5sec. Thus Zabbix Agent will never report uptime=4s and your trigger will never be true.

And yes, with <300 Zabbix will consider host "has just been restarted" for the first five minutes.
