Agent 2 upgrade removes Userparameters

When upgrading Zabbix agent 2 on windows using the MSI, my userparameters are removed from the zabbix_agent2.conf. I thought it was an issue with 6.x and then 6.2, however just upgraded 6.2.7 to 6.4.10 and again the parameters are removed and have to be manually re-added. Is this expected behavior?

It's unfortunate behavior, and though I don't know if it's expected behavior, I guess I'm not surprised. The MSI doesn't appear to support a non-interactive configuration setting for UserParameters.

The good news is that there's an easy workaround.

Look at the setting for "Include". You can create a separate config file, something like '50-UserParameters.conf' and place it in the location where it will be read by the Include setting, and keep your customizations in there. The main agent config file may continue to get replaced with a new one on upgrade, but your separate config file(s) will be left alone.
