    SNMP Issues

    Hi there

We are monitoring 14 clickshare units via SNMP v3 and I have added them all in to Zabbix but only 9 of them seem to be working properly

In the frontend when I add the other 5 they go green at first and then I get the error "Cannot connect to "x.x.x.x:161": Authentication failure (incorrect password, community or key).", but when I try the snmpwalk -v3 etc. command from the backend with the same passwords and usernames as is configured in the frontend it works fine. I have rebooted the clickshare devices and tripled checked the the passwords and usernames are configured correctly.

Has anyone encountered this before? Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks

All the protocols are also correct? Not mixing up SHA1 with SHA256 etc... Check their time, for snmpv3 it is very important to have times in sync. No duplicate engineID-s?

Thanks for the reply, I rebooted the zabbix-server service on the backend and now I'm getting timeout connecting to 2 of the clickshare hosts. I'm now also getting timeout connecting on two different hosts, I have already changed the timeout to the max 30 seconds in the zabbix server config.

Any idea why I'm timing out SNMP on 4 hosts?

      Thanks
