graph widget is empty after host rename

    Hello,

We are using version 6.0.12 and the graph widget is behaving differently that calssic and prototype.
If the host or the item that is shown at the widget has cahnged the name then the widget empties.

    Steps to reproduce:
    1. Create a graph widget for any host showing any item
    2. Rename the host or host's interface
    3. View the graph widget of that host

    Result:

The graph widget will be empty after a while.

    Expected:
I guess the graph widget should behave as the other graph options (classic, prototype) which continue to work after renaming host or items of the host that is showing metrics.

My thought is that this type of widget is not using the ID of the item showing thats why it is vulnerable if the name of the item is changed.

    Hello,

It seems that you are using ZABBIX, a network monitoring software. I have some possible solutions, you can try:

One user reported that the graph widget is empty after host rename and suggested that it might be a bug in the ZABBIX version 6.0.121. They also provided a link to the ZABBIX forums where you can report the issue and get help from other users.

Another user suggested that you can try using plotly, a Python library for interactive data visualization2. They shared some code examples on how to create a Sankey chart in a Jupyter notebook using plotly2. You can also check the plotly documentation for more details and tutorials.

A third user mentioned that they had a similar problem with the graph prototype widget in ZABBIX 4.4.3 and posted some screenshots of their widget settings and graphs3. They did not provide a solution, but you can compare your settings with theirs and see if there is any difference.

I hope this information is helpful to you.

    Best regards,
