    unable to monitor cloud servers or servers hosted via MS Azure

    Hi, all of our servers specifically like Linux or physical Windows based servers are being monitored by our zabbix net monitoring except for Windows Azure based servers, it just shows not connected no connection at all. Is there an additional steps whether from the server itself or from the zabbix monitoring server itself?

    So far this is the steps I did, I created a host, put in the hostname or IP of the server or the azure IP. For the IP under Agent interfaces, I also put in the same IP of the hostname. Under template I put in "Template OS Windows"

    Thanks
    Jeff

    You must allow access fromt he server to the client on Network Interfaces > [interfacename] > Network Security Group > [Group name] > Inbound Security Rules.

    Add a rule allowing connections to the 10050 port and it should work.

    If you are using classic VMs, the path is slightly different, but the same logic.

    Hope it works.

      Azure IAAS

      Guys, I have a customer with a lot of small branch offices across country and we wanna to deploy zabbix proxy server (thin client , or something similar) although we want to deploy zabbix server on Azure IAAS , what is your experience on that?
      +customer is going to have access to their personalised dashboards;
      +proxy server on each small branch office;

      regards,
      Thiago
