zabbix with mrtgext (novell)

Hi all,

I have this issue to strip more white characters from zabbix agent answers. Now my monitored novell server does not return values. I really do not know, what is char ^M (ascii 005). but I would to see it stripped. And other white chars too.

Am I wrong ?

Looks like you have Windows line endings (\r\n) when Zabbix expects Unix line endings (\n).
You can get rid of the carriage return (\r) by piping your command to "tr -d" for example.

That is quite inpossible. I can do this on linux, but not on novell. mrtgext is software for novell netware, I have no command tr there.. only mrtgext software..

Novell has no shell scripting (or any kind of scripting) ?

Yes, it does some kind of scripting, but mrtgext is same as zabbix agent, so daemon which has builtin commands. If I want to change something, I have to change source, not doing script.
