Admin role cannot see monitoring data

We have set up a Zabbix 6.0 LTS server as a proof-of-concept for our management. All is going pretty well, but ran into a problem this morning. All of the sysadmins have accounts in Zabbix with superadmin access, and things work fine. We set up the managers with only admin access, figuring that they didn't need the keys to the castle just to look around.

So one of the managers logged in with his admin-level account, and was able to go to Monitoring -> Dashboard or Monitoring -> Hosts, and the page displayed, however it said "No data found." Even though in my superadmin display, the dashboard had 6 alerts, and there are 200-odd hosts.

Shouldn't an admin account be able to see alerts and hosts by default? Is there a knob or dial I need to adjust?

    Thanks,

Go back to manual and read up how permissions work..
Superadmin will see anything by default, no matter what kind of usergroups are added to account. Admin and User require you to set access permissions the usual way. That's your knob and dial you need to turn... Your managers need to be part of a usergroup, that has access to all the hostgroups.. But with admin rights you effectively give them keys to "config" ... That part you can resolve with custom "role". Or don't give them admin rights... just normal user with access to all hostgroups... They can see all data, create dashboard for themselves, but cannot change any config.
