    cannot create new hosts

    Hi,

    i'm on zabbix 3.0.5.
Whenever i try to create a new host via Configuration, Hosts, New Host and i try to create a new host OR i try to add a template to the new host, i get a timeout on the webpage.

Strangely, when i try to add a template to an existing host, it works?

Anyone had this issue before, or could point me to a right direction to how to debug this ?

    Some more information:

I'm on the latest centos 7
when i full clone an existing host, everything works as it should be.
I can add or delete templates on the host and give it a new name.
Changing existing hosts is no problemo.

I've checked the logs of httpd, /var/log/messages, /var/log/zabbix/zabbix-server.log, mariadb.log and they give no indication what so ever or warning/errors.

Ive tried to do: yum reinstall httpd and yum reinstall zabbix-server-mysql
    Rebooting
    Uninstalling yum updates

Can i set on some sort of php debugging?

        Check:
        - httpd error logs
        - zabbix server logs
        - zabbix db backend logs

it seemed that the firewall was the issue, a proxy was active on the firewall rule.

Yeah .. sometimes is like this that "no one expect Spanish inquisition" :P

            Remember my principles that:
            - longer you are working on a problem that probability that it has been caused by something stupid is growing
            - all IT errors is possible to put in only two baskets: stupid and simple.

              Hi all,

I had the same issue with Version Zabbix 5.4.3 i am using DNS names (Agent interface) and on 1 host i forgot to add the .local to it instead of showing me a warning that the host was unreacheble zabbix timed out on ..../host.php
So if you have this issue also check the host entry
