Below is the if.speed script which I pasted from the URL you've given

The remaining 4 is the GUI of the zabbix server

    Thanks

Change the ip of 127.0.0.1 of the snmp interface on your fortigate host to the ip address of the fortigate

wow! you're the best WillemR, I did get it starting. Kind of weird, I added interface but all I have for the screen options are:

        Active Sessions
        CPU Usage
        CPU usage per processor1
        CPU usage per processor2
        CPU usage per processor3
        CPU usage per processor4
        Memory Usage

I dont see something like, WAN1 int, WAN2 int, LAN interfaces, etc

        Thanks
Really appreciate the effort to help a novice like me

Now, Wait an hour and check again, it can take a while before zabbix graphs shows something.

It has been 2 days but I still don't see any graphs for interfaces. How do I check if there is something to cnfirm?

            Thanks

you'll want to go to the host, configure, browse the item's, on the right you'll see a red cross, post the error here.

can you go to the configuration of the host, click on items
You should see a list of all discovered items.
Items that are in error, are also shown
you should search for: Network Interfaces

if not found, then look in "Discovery Rules" are there any errors?

i also just discovered, that when you install snmp gem, you should do this as root (so install it on your it's "gem install snmp", but don't forget to install as root: sudo gem install snmp

did you copy the if.vdom and if.speed scripts to the external folder (+ chmod a+x them?)

I've clicked on Discovery rules and I see Network Interfaces. Yes, I've been using root credentials from the start. And yes, if.speed and if.vdom are both on the externalscripts folder located at

                      /usr/lib/zabbix/externalscripts

                      Thanks

I will upload the items after this since the upload of pics has a limit

                          Thanks

                              When you say

                              'Install if.speed'

in the ExternalScripts folder/directory. Check your zabbix_server.conf basically you just create the file, right? which is the command

                              'touch if.speed'

                              then

                              'vi if.speed'

then just paste what's inside the if.speed by jjmartres which is located in this URL

Anyone has other things that needs to be checked?

                              Thanks in advance
