I've come across an issue which seems like it might be a bug. I recently noticed that most (not all) of my monitored hosts had their host availability status changed from "green" to "grey" for no apparent reason. These hosts were otherwise working just fine - data from passive agent checks was flowing in just fine, viewing "latest data" showed everything working normally, except they were still showing up as grey for unknown reasons.
I was able to fix almost all of them by temporarily disabling, and then re-enabling the hosts on the zabbix server. After some time, most of them returned to green. For the handful that did not return to green, I'm noticing that if I export the host, delete it, and then re-import, then the host will once again become green.
This is zabbix server/proxy 3.0.4, with a combination of 2.4.x and 3.0.x agents.
Just wondering if anyone has noticed this before. After searching the forums, there does seem to be a number of people with questions about agent status being grey, but I'm not sure if they are necessarily related to this same issue or not.
I may open up a bug, but the problem is, I have no idea how to replicate the problem.
