    Fortigate and Fortiswitch templates don't produce any data for ports utilization

    Hello,
    Trivial and obvious issue, Zabbix server version 6.4.13
    Added Fortigates and Fortiswitches as hosts to be monitored with built-in templates. No issues with CPU and RAM utilization but absolutely no information for traffic counters on ports.
    Namely, names for templates used, Fortigate by SNMP and SNMP Fortinet devices
    Has anyone tested them ? snmpwalk run against the device seem to poll and fetch data and I do see some values for MBs

    Fortinet devices support normal IF-MIB, so just also use a generic SNMP template to get the interfaces discovered, if the FortiGate-specific template doesn't provide those.

      Well, I did use that generic SNMP template to monitor Unifi switch and it didn't give me any data for ports either. That's why I thought maybe I need to use vendor specific template. Would it mean that we are now broadening the topic of vendors and inability of the built-in templates to monitor their ports ?

        You have not specified if you are receiving any errors. Will be hard to troubleshoot without it.

        Try the generic template and then test run and see if any of the pre defined macro is missing in your data. Then remove that particular macro from the discovery and execute it. I have seen that some times you do not find few macros in the SNMP response. ex: {#IFDESCR}
