    Zabbix 7.0 LTS - zabbix-web-service time out when testing scheduled reporting

    I really want to get v7.0 LTS running on the latest Ubuntu 24.04, but I have hit a snag.
    when ever I click the test button the log reports the following.

    2024/06/05 14:32:48.368962 received report request from [::1]:33044
    2024/06/05 14:32:48.369241 making chrome headless request with parameters url: https://zabbix7.domain.uk/zabbix.php...shboardid=2&fr om=2024-06-04%2000%3A00%3A00&to=2024-06-05%2000%3A00%3A00, width: 1920, height: 1080 for report request from [::1]:33044
    2024/06/05 14:33:48.727086 timeout occurred while dashboard was getting ready, url: 'https://zabbix7.domain.uk/zabbix.php?action=dashboard.print&dashboardid=2&fr om=2024-06-04%2000%3A00%3A00&to=2024-06-05%2000%3A00%3A00'
    2024/06/05 14:33:48.731015 writing response for report request from [::1]:33044

    I did find a reddit post stating that down grading the version of zabbix-web-service solved the issue, but no details were given on how to accomplish this downgrade.

    knowing that this is such a new version I am hoping someone has run into this issue and has a work-around or a fix....

    eebc-ict-netman I'm using Ubuntu 20 and Zabbix 6.4.9 and had the same problem, almost lost my mind. Solved downgrading the zabbix_web_service this way:

    Code:
    apt install zabbix-web-service=1:6.4.9-1+ubuntu20.04
    Just needed to check which version of zabbix-server was running using:

    Code:
    dpkg -l | grep zabbix
    Reports are now generating like a charm!

      Hi.
      I've similar problem in my 7.0 docker installation.
      Not know if you are in a docker install to.
      Based on your log i think that something make your zabbix-web-service use IP6
      2024/06/05 14:32:48.368962 received report request from [::1]:33044
      Not know if this is correct.
      If you use docker to, i can solve my problem use "host network" in zabbix-web-service docker-compose service.

      From compose_zabbix_components.yaml (note "network_mode: host" line)
      Code:
       web-service:
        network_mode: host
        restart: "${RESTART_POLICY}"
        attach: false
        volumes:
         - ${DATA_DIRECTORY}/var/lib/zabbix/enc:/var/lib/zabbix/enc:ro
      ...
      ...
      ...
      From ./env_vars/.env_srv
      Code:
      ...
      ....
      # VAULT_TOKEN=
      ZBX_STARTREPORTWRITERS=1
      ZBX_WEBSERVICEURL=http://server.domain.it:10053/report
      # ZBX_SERVICEMANAGERSYNCFREQUENCY=60
      ...
      ...
      In frontend interface
      Administration - General - Other Configuration Parameters
      - Frontend URL: https://server.domain.it
      (i've NGinx setting up for SSL)

      Hope help.
      Mauro.

        Hello.
        This still seems to an issue in Zabbix 7.0. Downgrading zabbix-web-service definitely helps!

          Agree. Just upgraded all Zabbix components to 7.0.3 and confirm the problem with report generation is still there.

          Downgraded zabbix-web-service to the latest 6.4.18 from the previous generation and it doesn't work either. So it seems the last functional version is 6.4.9, special thanks to @laurajdias

          I've creater support ticket, hope developers will fix it in future releases.
