Emails not being sent to groups

I'm hoping I can get some help with Zabbix here as I inherited it from a previous colleague. I have email alerts working for the admins and individual users, but not when I try sending to a Zabbix user group that contains them, and I can't see why.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Ok, a bit more information. We're running v5.2.7. I've checked that the group has read access to the host in question. As I said, the users are receiving emails when the operation is set to use their user account, but not when set to use a group that they are a member of.

Hi sparrowhawk, I think the group must have read rights to the template (for trigger) and the associated host (for active alerts). You must then ensure that you have configured the trigger actions for this group. Condition = "Host" ; Operation = send message to user groups : "GroupUser" via E-MAIL . Note that even if this is configured, but the user is configured to receive only "Disaster" alerts, no other alerts will be sent by e-mail: see this :



Are you sure that the alert you send individually is the same as the one you send as a group?

Hi @Ldzzz, thanks for post. I've granted read access to the host for this group. I'm not using templates, just a trigger and web scenario I set up. This is how I have the trigger configured. The user's media is set so that they will get all severity alerts.

Is there no one who can help me? This feels like it shouldn't be a terribly difficult thing to do. I suppose I can create operations for each user with the same custom message, but that seems clunky to me.
