    [MySQL Error / userdirectory_usrgrp_3] - Zabbix Server 7.0.3

    Dear all,

I recently updated my Zabbix Server from 6.4 to 7.0.3, but now I'm facing problems with MySQL.
After that update, Zabbix Server can't be started.

I viewed the logs and I found that message error:

    3720:20240826:173638.281 [Z3005] query failed: [1091] Can't DROP 'userdirectory_usrgrp_3'; check that column/key exists [drop index userdirectory_usrgrp_3 on userdirectory_usrgrp]
Could you please help me? What should I do to fix it?

    Thanks all.

    Hi,
Maybe you could update dbversion table with the mandatory version value which is 07000000. Let me know if it helps.

Never update anything in dbversion table manually....

Please elaborate a bit... when you upgraded from 6.4 to 7.0... has it ever started ? I assume - not?
That log shows, that you current DB version is not from 6.4 (mandatory/optional line) ... Did you possibly create v7 db and imported data from 6.4 to it and now trying to "upgrade"? That query error looks like it fails as it tries to drop something that is not there and then fails...
If you migrate from older versions and build new host with new software versions, you need to keep OLD DB format... Old tables, indexes etc... only then upgrade process can do its job properly and add/drop things that are (not) needed.
