how do you check if its running/down/pending/not responding manually ?
write the command here and output.

If the process status is abnormal, the application will popup reminders.

You mean capture application log to monitor the process running status?

We need some clarification to help you up.
On which OS is your application running ?

What batchenr meant, I suppose, is how do you actually check the application status.
In the unix world for example, you can have a command like
        Code:
        /etc/init.d/my_application status
that will return the status of the app : running, stopped, hanging, whatever.

How do you do it on your side ? And by this, I don't mean "I'm looking for popups in the app", Zabbix is not magical and has no eyes..

If OP is saying that app does not have service, its obvious its tipped-packed by Zabbix team.
