ZAbbix server 3.0 fails to send mails

I am using Zabbix 3.0 on Redhat 7.

i'd like to configure SMTP to send all triggers to our group email. For now i just tested it with my own account.

Simple test like ping not responce, file system >90% usage. so i registered server to Zabbix, assigned template to it. Bring down lan card, and fill up file system.

But i still don't receive any emails.

i follow instruction in Zabbix documentation or manual:

Name: email
Type: email
SMTP server: our SMTP gateway
SMTP server port: 25
SMTP helo: agr.gc.ca
SMTP email: my-email.agr.gc.ca
Connection security: None
SSL veriry peer: blank
SSL verify host: blank
Aithentication: none
username: none ----->>> What user name???
password:none ---->>> What password???
Enabled: checked
Update (click)

What i did wrong? please help. i am stuck.

1. did you set an action to send the mail ? post the action here
2. you have a log to see what happend to action like mail- go to Reports-> Action log

Yes i set up an action to send to my email for now. Also in report, there is nothing there.

post the action here - if you see nothing that means that zaabbix didnt even try to send..

first of all under action-operation : lower the "Default operation step duration" to 60 so you wont get email after 3600 sec

and you didnt attach the Condition tab - the most important one

Configuration -> Action -> middle tab "Condition" between the action and operation tab

Zabbix not sending email notification

After following your recommendation, still same issue.
I configured

Actions, Conditions and operations as you mentioned. I even restart
zabbix-server to see but no email sent from zabbix to my inbox.

I am stuck! need help please.

run smtp check from zabbix server cli:

>telnet SMTP server 25

>helo agr.gc.ca

>MAIL FROM: my-email.agr.gc.ca

>RCPT TO: any external email you choose

>DATA

>Subject: test

>This is a test message

>. (dont forget . at the end here!)

post the response here if you didnt get any mail to the mail you specify in "RCPT TO"
