    zabbix server is not running

The system version is Rocky Linux 9.4, MariaDB version is 11.1.6, and Zabbix version is 7.0.
MariaDB is installed using the official repository, while the rest of the installation follows the complete Zabbix installation guide from the official website.

Based on error your DB is set for Zabbix 7. Frontend is also looks like for v 7. But zabbix_server you somehow installed of version 6. Hence version conflict prevents it from starting.

The root cause of the issue was indeed the version mismatch between Zabbix server and MariaDB. I had tried modifying the Zabbix configuration file to skip the database version check, but it did not work. I would like to share the reason behind this error: it was caused by the EPEL repository. Although I followed the Zabbix installation guide and modified the epel.repo file to include excludepkgs=zabbix*, it did not take effect. I also added the official Zabbix 7.0 repository as instructed, but in the end, the system still used the EPEL repository to install version 6.0 instead.
