MySql upgrade fails after upgrading to Zabbix 7

    Hi all

On my Ubuntu 22.04 I did a upgrade this morning to the zabbix version 7.

As I see in the logfiles, the DB upgrade fails after 11% with no reason mentioned:

5656:20241125:091725.887 completed 8% of database upgrade
5656:20241125:091726.574 completed 9% of database upgrade
5656:20241125:091726.761 completed 10% of database upgrade
5656:20241125:091727.133 completed 11% of database upgrade
5656:20241125:091727.134 database upgrade failed on patch 06050036, exiting in 10 seconds
    5713:20241125:091747.280 current database version (mandatory/optional): 06050035/06050035
    5713:20241125:091747.282 starting automatic database upgrade
5713:20241125:091747.283 database upgrade failed on patch 06050036, exiting in 10 seconds
    5756:20241125:091807.527 current database version (mandatory/optional): 06050035/06050035
    5756:20241125:091807.528 starting automatic database upgrade
5756:20241125:091807.529 database upgrade failed on patch 06050036, exiting in 10 seconds
    5805:20241125:091827.778 current database version (mandatory/optional): 06050035/06050035

On the Webpage I get the error:
    "Database error"
"The Zabbix database version does not match current requirements. Your database version: 6050035. Required version: 7000000. Please contact your system administrator."

    Many thanks for your help!

    Anything in DB logs?
that 06050036 patch shoudl be this one https://git.zabbix.com/projects/ZBX/...6050.c#438-441

Have you fulfilled all prerequisites for upgrade? Like setting some parameters in DB ? https://www.zabbix.com/documentation...pgrade-process

      Hi Cyber,

Thanks cyber for pointing me in the right direction.
The command "mysql> SET GLOBAL log_bin_trust_function_creators = 1;" solved my DB upgrade issue.

Have a good day and regards!
