    "Unsupported item key" with MySQL

    Hi all.

I've installed a new Debian 12 server last week, installed MySQL 8 and Zabbix 7.
To get to know Zabbix I've decided to monitor the local instance of MySQL. I think I followed the doc correctly but I'm getting the dreaded "Unsupported item key" on every item...
If any of you could help me get this to work it'd be great!

    Host config:

Name:	image.png
Views:	708
Size:	49.6 KB
ID:	495193
Macros (user and password work in cli):

Name:	image.png
Views:	662
Size:	34.6 KB
ID:	495194

If I click on "Version" and click on Test to see if I can get values this happens:

Name:	image.png
Views:	662
Size:	50.5 KB
ID:	495195

`/etc/zabbix/zabbix_agentd.d` folder is empty but I don't think I have to copy anything in there as the template I use is part of the "out of the box" templates. Right?

I am a bit lost and I have very limited experience with setting up Zabbix so any pointers are welcome!

Thanks in advance for your help!

Well, long search and easy answer: I needed zabbix-agent2...

    Code:
    systemctl stop zabbix-agent
    apt install zabbix-agent2 zabbix-agent2-plugin-*
    systemctl restart zabbix-agent2
    systemctl enable zabbix-agent2
    No more unsupported item key!

Mysql items come with agent2 and specific plugin. https://www.zabbix.com/documentation...x_agent2#mysql
Start with installing that instead of classic agent (you have classic agent as you mention /etc/zabbix/zabbix_agentd.d, while agent2 has /etc/zabbix/zabbix_agent2.d)
