SNMPv3 Discovery Rule not detecting devices anymore

Hello all!

Hope anybody can help me to find why my "discovery rule" is not working as expected :-)

I configured a discovery rule to detect switches and nas devices over snmpv3 some on routet networks. With zabbix 6.0.x the rule worked as expected and added the hosts to zabbix. Also vissible at Gui "Monitoring -> Discovery".

Think since upgrading zabbix to 7.0.6 the rules are not able to find devices anymore.
Already discoverd hosts shows actual data. Snmpv2 and Http(s) Host discovery also working as expected. I'm also get data from problem devices, if add them manually to zabbix.
Snmp settings are done over Macro, so think typo or something else not the problem.

Why is my discovery rule not able to detect the devices anymore? In Menu "Monitoring -> Discovery" no device is detected by my test-rule.
On proxy with tcpdump I'm able to see rulesdicoverry-traffic from device to the proxy

After updating zabbix server and proxy to 7.0.8 Discovery is working as expected!

Hi Osvaldo!

Maybe incresing the log leveling, you should see an error mensagem from Zabbix, like you already tried with tcpdump, probably in Proxy or Server node.

it is said to be fixed in 7.0.7rc1 (release candidate 1). Currently 7.0.7 is already out, so you should be able to install it and not need to wait until 7.0.8...

Also with Loglevel 4, I wasn't able to see any error relatet to my problem. Maybe my fault, I'm using zabbix about a few months.

I also found Bugreport [1] and did an upgrade on our Testsystem to 7.0.7 which ended with an crash of my zabbix server. I was effected by Bugreport [2]
Think I will wait for 7.0.8 and test my "Discovery Action" again.
