    Aruba Switch 6100

I would like to ask a question and hopefully get an answer here.

Whenever I add SNMP v2 to an Aruba 6100/6100F switch, it always shows a red SNMP indicator and fails consistently.

I’m confident that my SNMP v2 configuration on the switch is correct.
Has anyone encountered the same issue?

    Thank you,
    Adam

    Hello, Muciw,

I also use Aruba 6100 devices at my workplace, and I was experiencing the same issue. Today, I came across the post you shared, and knowing that I’m not alone motivated me to dig deeper into solving the problem. After some experimenting, I managed to resolve it.

Briefly, here’s what you need to do: Connect to one of the Aruba 6100 devices using Putty and execute the following commands in the CLI. But before that, I kindly ask you to check the SNMP panel in the Aruba device’s interface to see if there is a user named "Public."

    Commands:
    1. conf ter
    2. snmp-server trap-source <Zabbix_Ip_Address>
    3. snmp-server vrf default
