Issue when synchronizing

Hi All,
I have a zabbix server to which several proxies are connected. recently i had a network failure and the connection between the zabbix server and the proxies is lost. I was wondering if I did the proper configuration:
1- I have ProxyOfflineBuffer=72, with which i intend to keep 3 days worth of data on the proxy db
2- ProxyBufferMode
As I dont know any better I have set some proxies ProxyBufferMode=disk while on others ProxyBufferMode=hybrid (ProxyMemoryBufferSize=16M)
i noticed that the one with hybrid the database proxy_history got so large and filled all the space on the partition.
My questions are:
a) when connection is restored will the data be automatically synched? or is there a special setting or action to do for this to happen
b) after synch, will the lost space for the history be cleared? or is there a specific method to do so.

It is described here how it works.. You shoudl not do anything, syncing takes place autoamtically if connection is restored. If data is sent away, there should be empty DB, until it is needed again..
